A new school year always brings a spark of excitement, fresh faces, new opportunities, and the promise of growth. As the halls of QPA fill with energy again, students are already buzzing about what’s ahead. This year, we’re welcoming several new teachers and staff members who bring fresh perspectives, inspiring lessons, and a strong commitment to helping students succeed.
In an interview, Principal Ms. Gumbs shared her optimism for the year ahead: “This year, we have new teachers and staff with new and fresh ideas. We really have hope—and the opportunity to show our full potential.” Her message has already set a confident and encouraging tone for the school community.
Beyond academics, QPA’s extracurricular world is off to a strong and lively start. Every club launched with momentum, offering students plenty of ways to get involved, explore new interests, and build community. From leadership groups that help students grow their skills, to honor societies that celebrate achievement, to creative clubs that spark imagination each one adds something meaningful to our school culture.
One exciting highlight this year is the return of QPA Lit, our student-run literary and journalism club. With both new and returning members, the team is ready to bring fresh stories, thoughtful writing, and creative expression to the spotlight. QPA Lit aims to capture the student experience, celebrate our community, and amplify voices that matter. From interviews and opinion pieces to poetry, features, and event coverage, this is where the heartbeat of QPA will be shared.
As we step into this new year, the energy is unmistakable. New beginnings, new goals, and new stories are already unfolding. QPA Lit is excited to be part of that journey documenting it, shaping it, and uplifting the voices of our students. Here’s to a year filled with growth, opportunity, and creativity at QPA.
